Hi,

I just arrived in Slovenia for one of the final three World Cup events this season. Winter is still holding on strong in Central Europe, with snow depths of over four feet at the venue. We will be here in Slovenia for another week before traveling to Finland and then Norway for the last races of the season. Unfortunately, I have been a bit sick with the flu for the past few days so I will be sitting out the races here in Slovenia. I am disappointed to miss the races but at the same time I have been very healthy for most of the season, so I am happy about that.

I had an incredible time at the Olympics. It was amazing to actually be there after spending so many years thinking about it. My results at the Olympics were pretty good, but of course I always hope for better. The highlight of my Olympics was our Ninth place finish in the Relay competition. This result was the best ever for any US Olympic biathlon Team and we were all very proud to be a part of it. In the relay race, our team was just over a minute from the bronze medal. In a race that takes almost one and half hours to complete, one minute is a very small margin. The best part about the relay is that all four guys will be back for the Olympics in 2010 and we truly believe that we can win a medal then.
I am really looking forward to the final few races of the season. I feel that once I am healthy again, I will still have the same good form that I had at the Olympics. The atmosphere on the World Cup is definitely a bit more relaxed now that the Olympics are over and I am looking at that as an opportunity to have a great result.
I will leave Norway on March 27th and head home for some much needed rest.
I have been on the road since November, so I am really looking forward to returning home and sleeping in my own bed. I am not sure what my spring is going to be like, but I hope to have a chance to return to Florida for a little vacation!

I hope all is well in Florida and thanks again for all of your support!

My Best,
Tim
